Los Alamitos Police Appreciation Luncheon  •  May 2 @11:15am – 1pm  •

You are invited to express your support and appreciation of the Los Alamitos Police Department. The keynote speaker will be Ray Fenton, Head Football Coach at Los Alamitos High School.

The 2018 FIVB Huntington Beach Open  •  May 2 – 6 •

The best athletes and Olympians from across the globe will be competing in Surf City at this beach volleyball tournament.

Gate & Garden Tour  •  May 4 @11am – 4pm  •

A fundraiser for school gardens, scholarships and community projects. The winding downhill walking route toward the ocean features fancy gardens. Celebrate the “Eve of Cinco de Mayo” with margaritas, Mexican food, free refreshments and a raffle.

Spring Citrus Fair  •  May 4-6 Fri @ 4pm – 11pm. Sat 11am – 11pm. Sun 11am – 9pm  •

Showcases the history of the La Habra Valley. Event will include entertainment, carnival rides, local food, exhibits & character mascots. Free Admission.

Wild West Steamfest  •  May 5 @10am – 6pm  •

The Old West & Steampunk. This concert event includes a beer garden, vendors, panels, Faro, costume contest, gold mining and living history tours.

San Clemente Cinco de Mayo Fiesta  •  May 5 @ 2pm – 6pm  •

Traditional Mariachi’s and Ballet Folklorico to Cumbias, Tex Mex, and Salsa dancers. Community groups will be serving up authentic Mexican food fare and other activities will include a juried Art Contest, Carnival Game booths and a vendor area.

Soka University’s International Festival  •  May 5 @ 10:30am – 5pm  •

Over 900 musicians and dancers performing on three stages and over 250 non-profit, craft and business exhibitors! There will be lots of international food, exhibitors, games and activities, art exhibitions, ceramic sales, and children’s play area.

Cinco de Mayo Yacht Party  •  May 5 @1pm – 4pm & 7pm – 10pm  •

This booze cruise will be equipped with one of a kind Margaritas, an array street tacos, rice & beans and churros; all while listening to the beats of top 40 music and the best Salsa/Latin hits!

OC Marathon  •  May 5 – 6  •

Pledges to benefit eleven local children’s charities through Run for Orange County Kids (ROCK). The Ultimate Finish Line Festival on Sunday at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa.

Cars ‘N Copters on the Coast  •  May 6 @ 10am – 4pm  •

This show features a stunning array of exotic cars, and an impressive lineup of helicopters. Proceeds go to the Huntington Beach Police & Community Foundation, benefiting the Huntington Beach Police Department Air Support Unit and other community and police programs the HBPCF supports.

Dachshund Races  •  May 6 @ 3pm – 4pm  •

Come see these short legged but swift ‘wiener dogs’ race to the finish line once a month at Old World Village. Arrive early and stay for lunch.

ACES Hot Rod Resurrection Car Show  •  May 9 @ 10am – 3pm  •

Open to pre ‘65 traditional hot rods, customs & vintage/classic bikes only, and being held in Huntington Beach, Old World in Orange County. Spectator’s admission and parking are free.

Discovery Cube’s Annual Rocket Launch  •  May 12 @ 9am – 2pm  •

Hands-on activities for all ages and includes a competition where you’ll design, build and launch 2-liter bottle rockets with pressurized air and water.

Open Garden Day  •  May 12 @ 10am – 4pm  •

Experience the inviting neighborhoods of West Floral Park and Jack Fisher Park in North Santa Ana. Lovely gardens to tour, water-wise front yard sidewalk tour, garden expert talks & demonstrations, vintage cars to peruse, a street full of vendors selling garden treasures, and gourmet food trucks.

Mariachi Festival  •  May 12 @ 11am- – 4pm  •

“Battle of the Mariachis” and authentic Mexican food. Mariachi performers will compete for cash prizes.

A Taste for Charity  •  May 16 @ 6pm  •

A fun filled evening under the stars to benefit local Laguna Beach charities. Silent art auction, raffle items, ‘tastes’ from twelve of the finest local Laguna Beach restaurants, and a live auction of indescribable artwork and items all generously donated by the local artists, galleries, and merchants.

Music and Arts Festival  •  May 18 @ 6:30pm – 9:30pm  •

The Laguna Niguel Youth Committee hosts this annual music festival to give local middle and high school students an opportunity to perform.

Anaheim Children’s Festival  •  May 19 @ 11am – 4pm  •

Fun for the whole family with free arts and crafts, dance lessons and performing arts classes. Over 20 booths will decorate the entrance area outside the Amphitheater in Pearson Park. Two stages will be located at the Festival. Musicians, puppets, bands, vocal groups, and dancers will perform.

Race Against Extinction 5K Run  •  May 19 @ 9am – 1pm  •

Generation Awakening, a nonprofit hosting its inaugural 5K run to raise funds for local and international conservation and wildlife organizations. A family-friendly walk/run event for all ages on sand and through a fun obstacle course.

Tustin LobsterFest  •  May 19 @ 4pm – 8pm  •

An afternoon of FUN for the family - enjoy entertainment, games, music and prizes. Annual fundraiser event that provides financial support for the programs and services sponsored by the Tustin / Santa Ana Rotary Club.

Newport Beach Spirits Tasting Event  •  May 19 @ 12pm – 4pm  •

The SIP Awards is the only spirit tasting competition that puts you in the judging seat. Categories include: Vodka, Gin, Tequila, Mezcal, Rum, Whiskey, Scotch, Cognac, Bourbon, Liqueurs, Infused Spirits, Mixers, and many others. 

Muckenthaler Motorcar Festival  •  May 19 – 20 @ Sat 8am – 2pm. Sun 10am – 4pm  •

Featuring car rally, motor movies & Concours d’Elegance and Horseless Carriage Tour. Live performances in the outdoor amphitheater. Proceeds benefit youth arts education and outreach programs.

Doheny Blues Festival  •  May 19 – 20 •

The true kick-off to summer with a weekend filled with music, lots of vendors and a International Food Court that features foods from around the world.

Balboa Island ArtWalk  •  May 20 @ 9am – 5pm  •

The premier showcase for talented local artists and marks the start of Balboa Island’s summer season. This fine art show features 100 artists exhibiting paintings, fine jewelry, blown glass, sculpture, and photography. Spectators will enjoy live music throughout the day.

Brewer Brothers Model Kit & Hobby Expo  •  May 20 @ 9am – 3pm  •

Multiple Model Kit Vendors, 1/6 scale Figure and Armor Vendors, Toy Soldier Vendors, Miniature Gaming Vendors, Military Book and Decal Vendors, Documentary and Movie DVD Vendors, Die-cast Toy Vendors and much more!

Laguna Beach Taste of the Nation  •  May 20 @ 2:30pm – 7:30pm  •

Join No Kid Hungry in Laguna Beach as top chefs in the area come together to make a difference and end child hunger in the US at Taste of the Nation. Celebrated CA chefs, Amar Santana and Joe Sasto, are joining the line-up.

Santa Ana Zoo’s Party for the Planet-Endangered Species Day  •  May 20 @12pm – 3pm  •

Throughout the event, Zoo guests can create conservation-friendly crafts and play fun games, as well as learn from hands-on demonstrations and education stations featuring animals, recycling, sustainable living and special guests.

Taste of Brea & Business Expo  •  May 24 @ 5pm – 9pm  •

Showcases our vibrant business community and city as one of Southern California’s premiere destinations for exceptional dining, quality entertainment, and diverse shopping options. Vistors will also enjoy dancing to live music.

Strawberry Festival  •  May 25 – 28 •

The festival is a parade and carnival celebrating the city’s strawberry-growing history. Contests, cake cutting ceremony, vendor & food booths, showmobile performances, rides and attractions. Free admission!

Scottish Fest  •  May 26 – 27 @ 9am – 6pm  •

The event features hundreds of bagpipers and drummers, Scottish and Irish food and vendors, Scottish clans, Highland dancing and traditional Scottish feats of strength like the hammer throw, putting the stone and caber toss.

San Clemente Memorial Day Remembrance  •  May 28 @ 2pm – 3pm  •

Join us as we honor all branches of the United States Military at the Marine Monument, in Park Semper Fi overlooking the SC Pier and ocean. All service members welcome. Meet our Marines from Camp Pendleton: 2nd Battalion 4th Marines, San Clemente’s adopted Marine Corps Unit.

La Palma Memorial Day Ceremony  •  May 28 @ 9am  •

Pay tribute to the dedication and sacrifices the men and women of our Nation’s Armed Forces have made.

Huntington Beach Memorial Day Ceremony  •  May 28 @ 11am  •

This annual ceremony, hosted by the American Legion Post 133, features a 21-gun salute, flag-raising and playing of taps. Local dignitaries attending.

Irvine Memorial Day Ceremony  •  May 28 @ 10am  •

Attendees can memorialize our troops’ sacrifice by writing down a brief remembrance to be posted on a memory board.
